Once again, huge improvements with HRtoVRChat_OSC. This month, we've introduced over six new releases, most with some huge additions! Some of the honorable mentions would be:
The new UI System Tray
Allowing users to now control the UI Helper application straight from their System Tray!
Loading an ExternalSDK with Reflection
No longer using SuperSimpleTCP and protobuf-net to forward messages; now we have direct communication!
This also allows SDKs to have internal access to HRtoVRChat_OSC, without injecting!
Adding Shaders to be used as a counter backend
The standard has always been Animations, but seeing as this requires more Material Slots and storage, we added the option to allow all users to build their backend (for PC builds only) with RED_SIM's Simple Counter Shader
Don't worry, we'll still always support animations for our questies :)
Custom Parameter Names
For people who have avatars with universal parameters allowing them to be re-used across avatars
Or, this can be used to add compatibility with other Heart Rate OSCs and their parameter names
We continue to try and improve HRtoVRChat_OSC to our best ability. We thank you for your patience and continuation of support.
Small changes with HRProxy this month. We added a new field named "service" which tells from which source is data being requested from.
Yes, I am aware this sounds privacy invasive. This was not my choice. My hand was forced by HypeRate to add this.
I never store any sensitive user data, all data is proxied straight from other providers and back to you through my secure WebSocket.
TONS of progress was made on my top secret project! Yes, I'm still waiting before looking for beta testers. Those forms will open soon, maybe this month? More information will be provided then, hope to see you soon...
Get it to a somewhat playable state.
Yes, version 2. An improved app with better privacy controls to allow when a service may request your data, and when they may not. Also going to try and improve the UI somewhat. If you know how to do web design (especially if you have experience in Fitbit apps), don't be afraid to hmu
Deprecate Pulsoid and implement Stromno is all that needs to be done at this point.
At this point, HRtoVRChat_OSC is mostly self-sufficient, it does not need a lot of backend changes, only housekeeping. So from here, I'm going to try and shift over more to the community side, with the current HRtoVRChat_OSC world in development, it will be like a hub for developers to add their avatar to to get more popularity and allow intro users to demo the app first and possibly introduce new users?
This is an insane milestone. My gratitude cannot be expressed more. Thank you all.
For a celebration, I have been planning some sort of meetup for a bit, hopefully this month! Be sure to join the discord server to be up to date with this!
Shocked anyone would want to join, haha... Shoutout to our users who are still apart of the server, even if they only want to be there for one thing, or if they just want to be there cause of me or whatever else, thank you.
Now that I'm on summer break, I have more time to dedicate to tons of projects. Be sure to let me know what you want more dedication to so I know how to plan my time accordingly!
